SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to current and potential customers. Accurately processes financial transactions and maintains cash accuracy in cash drawer. Cross-sells bank products and services by looking for sales opportunities while assisting customers and non-customers. At this level, the Teller II has full knowledge of banking regulations and internal control procedures. They possess the ability and confidence to make service decisions regarding customers that are beyond the normal every-day operations of a Teller I. The Teller II should have an excellent balancing record and minimal mistakes in basic new account openings and daily tasks/duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides exceptional customer service to current and potential customers, processes customer transactions accurately and efficiently and responds to customer inquiries in an efficient, timely and courteous manner.
• Maintains established cash drawer limits and meets standards by providing teller accuracy when balancing drawer.
• Has knowledge of bank products and services and is able to educate customers on basic checking and savings accounts.
• Actively looks for opportunities to cross sell products and services including making referrals to meet customer’s needs.
• Has a strong understanding of bank policies and procedures.
• Responsible for vault teller transactions such as: buying and selling cash, ordering cash from Federal Reserve, preparing currency/coin for shipment, balancing the vault/ATM. May need to assist with opening new accounts which include checking, savings, business, and CD/IRAs.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years job related experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crawl, and use computer for extended periods.
