Position Summary:

The Medical Assistant is essential in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting medical providers. This role involves performing basic clinical duties, routine patient care, and clerical responsibilities. Our ideal candidate will embrace our values, fostering positive relationships that enhance clinic operations and patient experiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet and room patients; escort them to pre-operative areas; assist with patient positioning and discharge.
  • Assist Registered Nurses (RNs) with vital signs, blood draws, and administering treatments as directed. Take and record vital signs, medical history, symptoms, concerns, and relevant information in patient records.
  • Monitor patient conditions and communicate any changes to the healthcare team as needed.
  • Report emergency situations immediately to the Lead RN.
  • Maintain and manage medical equipment and supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
  • Accurately record patient medical history, vital statistics, and additional pertinent information, including test results, in medical records.
  • Undertake other tasks as assigned to support clinic operations.
