ABOUT MAMA'S ON THE HALF SHELL

In 2003, our opening day was the realization of five years of dreaming, discussing, and collecting. It is our hope that when our customers are with us, they feel welcomed into our home with open arms. There really is no average age at Mama's on the Half Shell, making our restaurant a true destination for great food and celebration. As native "Baltimoreans," we felt Baltimore needed a thoughtful, classic seafood restaurant. Our menu is important, but we also want our guests to come in and feel comfortable for any occasion, be it a business meeting, Sunday football, a birthday, an anniversary, or just some time out. Our restaurant is a place where you could "bring it or bring it down." We're the neighborhood bar that everyone wants to go to

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESTAURANT SERVER

In this hospitality position, you are vital to the experience of our guests. You are dedicated to providing the best possible customer service so that our guests enjoy their meals and want to keep coming back. When guests are seated in your section, you greet them with a smile. You actively listen as you take orders. Knowledgeable about our menu, you can answer any questions our customers have about each dish. You can explain the aspects of each item and recommend dishes to our guests based on their tastes and dietary restrictions. As you work, you build relationships with each customer. You love working with people and take pride in the service you provide

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A RESTAURANT SERVER

  • Serving experience
  • Customer service skills

Are you positive and optimistic? Do you present yourself professionally? Are you a skilled communicator? Do you work well under pressure? Can you manage a variety of tasks without letting one fall behind? If yes, you might just be perfect for this full- or part-time food service position

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A RESTAURANT SERVER

This food service position can be part-time or full-time and has a flexible schedule. We are seeking candidates that can work weekdays as well as weekends. Typically, the shifts are 6 - 8 hours long.
