Responsibilities
  • Conduct geological field investigations, including soil and rock sampling, site characterization, and subsurface exploration, utilizing a range of geotechnical and environmental equipment.
  • Perform geologic and hydrogeologic data analysis, interpreting findings to generate accurate reports and recommendations for clients and project teams.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other professionals to integrate geologic information into project designs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client objectives.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of technical reports, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments, providing clear and concise geological insights.
  • Participate in the assessment of geologic hazards, such as landslides, erosion, and groundwater contamination, offering mitigation strategies and solutions.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in geology, geotechnical engineering, or environmental consulting.
  • Proficiency in geologic mapping, subsurface investigation techniques, and geological modeling software.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state regulations pertaining to environmental and geological standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
Preferred Qualifications (not required, but advantageous):
  • Professional Geologist (PG) certification or Engineer-In-Training (EIT) designation.
  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and geospatial data analysis.
  • Familiarity with geophysical methods and instrumentation for subsurface characterization.
  • Knowledge of New Jersey's geological and hydrogeological conditions.
  • Previous involvement in remediation projects and site redevelopment planning.
