Job DescriptionJob Description

Provide classroom instruction 12 hours per week (including up to 4 hours of prep time per week) to primarily Spanish-speaking adult learners. The ESL Instructor works with internal and external parties to organize the various components needed to initiate, execute, and support Adult Education. The Adult Education Instructor responsibilities will be to provide; ESL instruction to students; plan class schedules and activities; work with Adult Education Coordinator to develop appropriate curriculum materials; develop lesson plans; assist in client recruitment, assessment, and assist in registration; incorporate civic education component with Community Organizing team. Compile appropriate attendance data and work with data entry assistant to ensure completeness, timeliness, and accuracy of information. Ensure adherence to program policies and procedures. Attend (minimum) monthly meetings with Adult Education Coordinator.
