Apprentice Technician is an entry-level position responsible for assisting experienced technicians with a variety of tasks, including inspecting and testing vehicles, performing basic repairs, ordering parts. As the Apprentice Technician, you will be working under our experienced Technicians to learn the trade and advance your career. 

The Apprentice Technician position is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in learning the automotive trade and becoming a certified Technician. The automotive industry is a continuously evolving industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist experienced technicians with inspections, maintenance, and repairs of vehicles.

  • Follow company-created checklists to inspect and test vehicles.

  • Perform standard mechanical repairs, such as changing brake pads and oil changes ETC.

  • Learn repair techniques under the supervision of the Master technician.

  • Write labor time, and parts cost estimates.

  • Test vehicles before and after repair procedures.

  • Attach car batteries to in-shop testing devices to determine functionality.

  • Maintaining the shop and the tools within.

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in learning the automotive trade.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently. 

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
