Milestone - Settlement Project Manager

Company Overview: We are a fast-paced, high-end Qualified Settlement Fund (QSF) administration and settlement planning firm designed to provide trusted guidance and support to plaintiffs/claimants and attorneys before, during and after litigation. Our mission is to streamline mass tort QSF and settlement administration through innovative technology, while providing tailored plaintiff settlement planning. The Milestone Settlement Project Manager will join the team to facilitate daily project management and coordination of Mass Tort Settlement Administration Projects.

Primary Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and administer complex settlement programs established to resolve mass tort claims.
  • Work under the direction and supervision of Milestone Attorneys to handle required document distribution and submission on various Mass Tort and multi-party personal injury settlements.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and firms related to the coordination, review, and approval of settlement claims.
    • Handle external and internal communications related to managed cases with the utmost professionalism and in a reasonable timeframe.
  • Manage and accurately track a large volume of case files and documentation.
    • Provide detailed reporting on any number of settlement projects
  • Recognize and communicate issues related to ancillary items such as Probate, Bankruptcy and/or Lien Resolution with a high-level of understanding.
  • Initiate follow-up emails and calls to achieve maximum participation required per project.
  • Coordinate with Milestone Onboarding team to track, facilitate, and administrate various aspects related to the onboarding process
  • Respond promptly to claimant inquiries through phone calls, texts, and emails.
  • Provide clear and accurate information regarding the mass tort settlement process and claimant status.
  • Assist Milestone Solutions team with plaintiff questions and communication.
    • Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy while interacting with claimants.
    • Document and update claimant records accurately in the system.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve complex claimant concerns.
    • Identify and escalate priority issues to the appropriate channels.
  • Uphold confidentiality and handle protected/sensitive material and information in the secure manners provided.
  • Coordinate with other operational groups and effectively delegate tasks to the appropriate teams while retaining responsibility for successful completion of overall project.
  • Provide administrative assistance on any key projects or deliverables.
  • Operate with a strong attention to detail, superior time management and optimal organizational skills.
  • Coordinate timely and accurate execution of key activities and tasks as outlined in proposals, MSA, Orders, project documents, and/or client requests.
  • Timely respond to colleagues to keep project deliverables on schedule.
  • Appropriately and effectively communicate client's needs internally.
  • Perfect work in a manner that mitigates errors with minimal oversight, while understanding the appropriateness of escalations when necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or a paralegal certificate, with 5+ years industry experience.
  • Advanced computer literacy with Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience handling mass tort settlements or multi-party personal injury settlements, with basic knowledge of lien resolution.

Preferred additional skills:

  • Experience developing allocation models is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel abilities such as Pivot Tables, V/XLOOKUP, and Macros is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Asana, Power Automate, Power BI, are pluses.
