This is a hybrid role.
Our client is a top Wealth Management Firm that provides comprehensive financial planning, retirement and tax planning, estate planning, risk management, and investment management services. The company manages approximately $5 billion in assets on behalf of clients.
Working within our client's Investment Management and Research Department, this is an associate-level position that supports the firm’s investment and trading efforts which includes, but is not limited to, rebalancing/trading client accounts, investment manager due diligence, preparing investment recommendations for client portfolios, maintaining and auditing the reporting database (specifically focused on cost basis), assisting with the firm’s Global Investment Performance Standards verification, and more.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Investment Management, and will have daily interaction with senior executives, internal departments, and our clientele.

Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation for the firm’s Investment Policy Committee meetings.
- Calculate, reconcile, and enter cost basis into database for client accounts.
- Monitor and assess individual investment managers.
- Conduct calls/meetings with investment managers/fund companies.
- Conduct ongoing research on markets and investments.
- Debrief internal stakeholders, on a weekly frequency, on investment model performance.
- Write client investment related communications.
- Trade/rebalance client portfolios daily for appropriate risk exposure and cash management needs.
- Understand the implications of capital gains and losses.
- Prepare initial investment recommendations for new client portfolios.
- Assist in the Global Investment Performance (GIPS) Compliance and Verification process.
- Conduct audits and reconcile our accounts vs. the custodians to ensure that client accounts are accurately reported in our systems.
- Assist with auditing 1099 Forms.
- Maintain and update procedure manuals for the department.
- Become proficient in the following programs:
- Bloomberg, FactSet, YCharts, Morningstar Workstation, Tamarac CRM, Tamarac AdvisorView, Tamarac Rebalancing, Netx360
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree (BA) with an excellent academic record is required.
- Relevant internship experience and/or 1+ year of relevant work experience is a strong plus.
- Series 7, 66 licenses (or obtain within first 90 days of employment).
- CIMA or current candidate of CFA program a strong plus.
COMPETENCIES
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel including VBA.
- Working knowledge in Bloomberg or FactSet.
- Well-versed in Modern Portfolio Theory.
- Strong understanding of macroeconomics, asset allocation, portfolio. construction and risk management.
- Exposure to one of the following: Python, JavaScript, or SQL.
- Strong quantitative skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
