SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This is a 6-month maximum temporary assignment.


Individual is responsible for the daily maintenance of their assigned operating unit. Individual will manage the assigned units maintenance costs and work in conjunction with Operations maintenance coordinators (OMC) to establish priorities and work schedules. This role also supervises the facilities maintenance craftsman who perform maintenance services to the operating units and assets. This would include all preventative maintenance, Corrective maintenance as well as turnaround activities.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure safety of maintenance personnel in their day-to-activities by following site procedures and policies, industry best practices, housekeeping and participation in established employee safety programs.
  • Issuing of safety work permits to maintenance personnel
  • Maintain critical safety devices and PMs within defined inspection schedules
  • Direct and supervise craftsmen on day-to-day execution of work; Works with Maintenance planner to Ensure that all necessary resources are provided to the craftsmen for safe and efficient execution of their assignments.
  • Develop and execute action plans for upgrading skills of craftsmen with appropriate training.
  • Assist with work identification, planning, scheduling, and procuring materials & equipment for the execution of maintenance and minor capital work orders.
  • Be able to secure resources including people, materials and outside expertise to maximize occupancy and minimize reliability costs as needed.
  • Develop, track and report key metrics in a timely manner for continual reliability improvement
  • Responsible for meeting budgets and adherence to strict cost control practices.
  • Focus on accountability, setting clear and consistent expectations as well as holding oneself and their employees accountable.
  • QAQC audits on jobs/tasks that your subordinates are performing to ensure precision maintenance and enhanced reliability.

  • Experience with maintenance management systems such as Maximo as well as ADP
  • Proficient with basic computer programs such as word, excel, etc.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute both planned and unplanned work.
  • Demonstrate Agility and ability to multitask.
  • Manage and coordinate contractor support crafts completing work in assigned unit. Scaffold, insulators, welders etc.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred 10 years of plant maintenance experience in a chemical manufacturing, refinery or other related industrial environment working in conjunction with production units. Extensive hands-on knowledge of reciprocating and rotating equipment

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience related to operations, maintenance or construction in industrial environment is desirable but not mandatory.

EDUCATION:

Minimum Required: High School Diploma

Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
