JOB DETAILS

Base pay starts at $18.25 per hour

Shift:  First Shift

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position engages in the full scope of MIG weld processes on a variety of structural steel including (but not limited to):

  • rigid frame columns, rafters, pipe, beam canopy rafters, small parts, clips, and special assemblies
  • Welded parts may include thin gauge, painted, or galvanized material
  • The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of welding techniques and have a high attention to detail in a fast-paced production environment
Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience welding in a production environment or valid welding certification
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CWB and AWS welding certification in accordance with Cornerstone Building Brands welding procedures
  • Experience with a forklift and/or overhead crane operation a plus
  • Comfort and familiarity with power hand tools
  • Willingness to train, certify, and operate forklift and overhead crane
  • Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • General mathematical knowledge and proficiency with basic measuring instruments
