Atlantic Emergency Solutions is seeking a full-time Mobile Heavy Truck/Diesel Mechanic to cover Winchester, VA and the surrounding areas that include Morgan County, WV to Fauquier County, VA.


Our Mobile Heavy Truck/Diesel Mechanics are responsible for:

  • Analyzing malfunctions and determine the necessary repairs for fire and emergency equipment. This includes, but is not limited to the chassis, body, water pumps, electrical components, and engines
  • Operate and inspect this equipment and evaluate the best course of action to return the apparatus to a safe operating condition
  • Examines parts for damage or excessive wear using their own and company provided specialized tooling
  • Repair, rebuild, overhaul, and replace defective assemblies and components such as gauges, air fittings, plumbing lines and valves, hydraulic lines, various pumps, and basic engine components
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure operating efficiency and safety prior to releasing the apparatus for duty
Requirements:

Successful candidate will have at least three years of prior experience in the heavy truck industry, along with being able to lift up to 30lbs without assistance. Pre-employment drug screening and satisfactory driving record required. Additionally, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class B with a tanker endorsement is required or must be willing to obtain. ASE Mechanic and EVT certifications as well as state inspection license a plus.
