Compensation

$36.00 - $40.00 per hour for full time

$38.00 - $42.00 per hour for per diem


Differentials

$5.00/hour overnights, $2.50/hour weekends, $7.50/hour weekend overnights


Registered Nurse Days:


Position Profile: Registered Nurse (days) is responsible for assisting in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. ?


Qualifications Required: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. One (1) to two (2) year(s) clinical experience is a plus. Have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of Maine, must be able to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification. Experience with chronic substance use disorder and/or mental illness is a plus.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:?

  • Implement an appropriate individualized health treatment plan with the patient
  • Plan and carry out the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients
  • Be responsible for all aspects of the health care for the patient caseload during each shift?
  • Complete and maintain necessary records and reports in an accurate and confidential manner
  • Assist with admissions
  • Will hold a proficiency in KIPU and will attend trainings as necessary.
  • Make the appropriate referrals to other agencies and resources for the health care of the patients
  • Attend essential training programs and weekly staff meetings
  • Be willing and able to work as a team member, including leadership nursing roles
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Physical demands and work environment: Freedom of movement on a regular basis. Operating basic office equipment in a normal office environment. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. May spend extended periods operating a desktop computer, requiring hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity; physical activity requires walking, bending, standing and lifting.


Compensation: Compensation for this position ranges from $36.00 - $40.00 per hour for full time positions, $38.00 - $42.00 per hour for per diem positions, based on experience. We offer an additional shift differential for overnights ($5.00/hr), weekends ($2.50/hr), and overnight weekends ($7.50/hr).


Registered Nurse Nights:

Differentials

$5/hour overnights, $2.50/hour weekends, $7.50/hour weekend overnights


Specific RN job responsibilities include:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to clients undergoing detoxification from alcohol and drugs during the overnight shift
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers, ensuring accurate dosing and proper documentation
  • Monitor vital signs, withdrawal symptoms, and other physiological and psychological changes in clients, responding promptly and appropriately to any emergent situations
  • Document client assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols, medication administration guidelines, and facility policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the day shift nursing staff to ensure continuity of care and effective communication of client needs and status
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills related to addiction medicine and nursing practice
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Valid registered nurse license in the state of Maine
  • CPR certification is a plus
  • Experience with substance use and/or mental illness is a plus

Every third weekend

No on-call required
