schedule: 7am-3:30pm and every other weekend availability
We are hiring a full-time Housekeeper to join our team. A Housekeeper in the Maintenance Department is to assist the Maintenance Director in meeting the requirements of our residents and standards of cleanliness set forth by the Maintenance Department. The position will be assigned to resident room cleaning as well as public facility areas.
The primary purpose of your job position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Executive Director, and/or the Maintenance Director, to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
This position requires the following qualifications:
- Preferably experience as a Housekeeper in an Independent/Assisted or Supportive Living facility.
- High school diploma or equivalent and successfully complete training as required by State regulations.
- Previous experience working with the elderly.
- Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the public.
- Must meet all health requirements and pass background checks.
- Must maintain sanitation in all facility areas.
- Must be able to work weekends and Holiday hours if needed.
