Seeking a certified flagger to join our team. As a certified flagger, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of construction sites and traffic flow. Your primary responsibility will be to direct vehicles and pedestrians, following established signaling procedures and traffic control plans.
Responsibilities:
- Control and direct traffic at construction sites or other designated areas.
- Follow signaling procedures and traffic control plans to ensure the safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians.
- Use hand signals, flags, or other designated equipment to communicate instructions to drivers.
- Maintain a constant awareness of surroundings to identify and respond to potential hazards.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers, drivers, and pedestrians to maintain a safe work environment.
- Report any incidents, violations, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Valid certification as a flagger.
- Familiarity with traffic control procedures and regulations.
- Ability to understand and follow traffic control plans and signaling procedures.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Alertness and attentiveness to ensure the safety of self and others.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed.
