We are currently seeking a dedicated hardworking individual to join our dynamic team. In this position, you will be collaborating with our irrigation development and maintenance teams as well as development and maintenance of on site landscapes. You will also be eligible to drive commercial trucks and trailers during peak season, which require position of a CDL Class A License. CDL Training can be provided for the employee if a license is not currently held.


To succeed in this role, you should be physically and mentally fit to pass a DOT medical exam and have a valid drivers license eligible to obtain a CDL endorsement. Our ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, with excellent communication and a focus on increasing efficiency and accountability. It is equally important that they be willing and able to learn new skills and knowledge to become versatile in the various off season opportunities provided by WWNC. 


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility during peak season (March 1st through July 15th) will be to perform delivery driver responsibilities.
  • Irrigation design, repair and installation. This includes pressurized systems including overhead, micro sprayers, drip systems along with drainage systems. 
  • Preventative maintenance and inspections of all irrigation related systems
  • Potential use of heavy machinery such as excavators, tractors and RTV’s
  • Digging and working within confined spaces
  • Irrigation shop cleanliness and housekeeping
  • Assist with parts inventory
  • Facility landscaping including mowing, trimming, weeding, watering and other general labor
  • Other facilities maintenance duties as required

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Irrigation systems and parts knowledge
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid driver's license
  • CDL Class A License (Training Provided)
  • Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and problem solving abilities.

Physical Requirements 

Must be able to stand for extended periods of up to 10 hours and lift up to 50 lbs. 

Be tolerant to varying temperatures in cold and heat extremes.
