Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Draftsman to create detailed drawings and specifications essential for planning and constructing mechanical engineering projects. This full-time position involves working closely with our Engineering team, utilizing CAD software to design and model 3D equipment parts and assemblies. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of mechanical design, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate directly with Engineering to create and modify detailed designs.
  • Assist in equipment testing and research & development efforts.
  • Utilize CAD software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD, to draft full-scale and detailed designs of sheet metal parts and equipment.
  • Design and model 3D equipment parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
  • Organize mechanical design drawings and Bill of Materials.
  • Determine the types of materials needed and calculate quantities for ordering or manufacturing.
  • Create and annotate detailed drawings of parts and assemblies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including supporting engineers in R&D testing.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, taking on multiple roles as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 2-year degree in Drafting or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (2D) is highly preferred.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong independent work ethic, as well as effective collaboration skills within a team setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong follow-through.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow.
