Summary

Mustard Seed Preschool is a Christian preschool seeking a Lead PreK teacher to nurture the spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional development of preschool aged children. This teacher would oversee a classroom of 11 children along with an Assistant Teacher.

This is a 9 month, part-time position requiring 18 hours per week.Workday is 8:45 AM until 1:45 PM Tuesday through Thursday.

Duties

Provide safe, orderly, and nurturing environment to meet the unique needs of all children.
Plan, organize, and execute age-appropriate daily classroom lessons and activities.
Encourage student spiritual development through daily bible lessons, prayer, and grace-based correction and redirection.
Oversee assessment of student developmental progress and maintain records of such progress.
Maintain frequent communication with parents through weekly newsletters, electronic messages, and parent-teacher conferences.
Ensure all school policies and state regulations are met.This includes training requirements from the TN Department of Human Services.

Requirements

Must be a professing Christian and actively involved in a local church
Minimum 2 years professional childcare or teaching experience
A College Degree (Education Degree Preferred)
A strong understanding of child development
CPR and First Aid Certification (Mustard Seed provides annually)
Must clear full background check and health screening
Excellent interpersonal skills
