About the Role

Miller Swim School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Deck Supervisor to lead our team of swim instructors. In this key role, you will supervise swim lessons, ensuring they are conducted safely and meet our high standards. If you are enthusiastic about water safety and have a knack for leadership, we’d love to hear from you

Responsibilities

As a Deck Supervisor, you will have a diverse range of responsibilities, including:

  • Curriculum Expertise: Master our swim curriculum to ensure lessons are taught effectively.
  • Leadership and Morale: Inspire instructors to take pride in their work and foster a positive team environment.
  • Training and Support: Provide guidance and support to instructors as needed.
  • Student Engagement: Stay informed about students and any special circumstances that may arise.
  • Parent Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with parents about current and future events.
  • Student Evaluation: Conduct assessments and record students’ skill progress.
  • Meetings: Attend staff, supervisor, and instructor meetings.
  • Reporting: Report to the Aquatics Director, General Manager, and District Manager.

Commitments

  • Full-Time Commitment: Work 30 hours or more per week.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Be prepared to work multiple shifts in one day and at various locations.
  • Weekend Availability: Must be available to work on weekends.

Candidate Requirements

  • Swimming Background: Previous experience with competitive swimming is preferred.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in managing others.
  • Certification: Ability to obtain lifeguard certification.
  • Energetic and Driven: Passionate about making a positive impact on lives through swimming.
