Position Info:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering support and leadership for high voltage electrical systems and safety programs within the plant.
  • Support maintenance, operations, and engineers across production areas, offering technical solutions to design, process, and application challenges.
  • Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on problem-solving and technical solutions.
  • Develop, manage, and execute capital projects, major repairs, and maintenance activities, ensuring alignment with plant operations.
  • Provide electrical engineering support across all manufacturing and plant areas.
  • Oversee the activities of maintenance personnel, ensuring safe work practices, proper use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to clearance/lock-tag-verify procedures.
  • Manage and collaborate with external vendors on electrical design and support functions.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with personnel to identify issues, clarify requirements, and facilitate solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in industrial high voltage and 480VAC power distribution, transformers, automation, process control systems, drives, and PLCs.
  • Experience in leading, managing, and implementing electrical projects, including design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Ability to oversee maintenance activities and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience and a deep understanding of electrical systems and manufacturing processes.
  • 5 years of experience in high voltage electrical equipment, design, maintenance, and failure analysis.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
  • Experience in estimating, justifying, managing, and installing capital projects.
  • Extensive experience with industrial electrical power and control systems, including transformers, switchgear, sub-stations, and relays.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering safety standards, codes, and specifications.
  • Strong background in maintenance and reliability engineering, with familiarity in world-class manufacturing techniques like lean manufacturing, JIT, SPC, and TQM.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong problem-solving and creative thinking abilities.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
