Gymnastic Coach

Job Overview:
The Gymnastics Coach is a sport teaching position that works primarily at our Boulder Point Facility located in Montgomery, IL.. The Gymnastics Coach reports to the Gymnastics Supervisor and Coordinator. Responsibilities include the teaching of progressive, high quality, high level gymnastics skills, as well as instruction of recreational gymnastics.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of Xcel rules, regulations and routines
- Instructs team practice according to the program curriculum
- Assist in marketing and promoting the gymnastics program
- Ability to teach and spot skills thru USAG Diamond
- Ability to organize and lead a variety of gymnastics programs
- Ability to take instruction from Coordinator, Upper level Coaching staff and Supervisor and implement changes or requests
- Ability to tactfully discuss student’s behaviors (both positive and negative) with the students and parents as needed
- Serve in a professional and courteous manner with the highest regard to the customer
- Attend staff meetings and trainings
- Other duties as assigned by your coordinator and/or supervisor

Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Previous gymnastics experience preferred, either as a coach or a gymnast
- Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in education, youth services, recreation or working toward a degree in these areas or similar field, preferred
- Must have and maintain: CPR/AED certified or obtained within one (1) year of employment. Be a “Mandated Reporter” for the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act
- Maintain current USAG safety certifications and USAG membership

Hours:
Evenings and weekends

Rate:
$21.00+/hour DOE (Depending on Experience)
