Berger Soccer

Berger Soccer is the operator for the concessions stand located inside the Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex. We are a unique operation and offer a wider selection of products than typical concession stands. The overall layout is similar to a convenience store, offering a wide variety of self-serve options, combined with a more traditional concessions counter, as would be typically found at a movie theater. We also have a beer garden where guests are welcome to hang out and enjoy a large variety of alcoholic beverages. We operate seasonally, while soccer is in session. The typical soccer seasons are Spring (March through May), Fall (August through November), and Winter (December through February). We primarily operate during the weekends (Fridays 4p-12a, Saturday 7a-11p, & Sunday 7a-9p) as that is when league play and tournaments are typically held. We are also open for weekday practices, Monday through Thursday from 5pm-9pm. Our Seasonal Associates are responsible for preparing and selling concessions stand products and merchandise, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and inviting store. As a Concessions Lead Associate you would be expected to be able to complete those tasks with a high level of proficiency while also handling additional responsibilities detailed below. Employment at our nearby convenience store could be available in the off seasons if you are interested in that as well, though that is not a requirement.

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Maintain an exceptionally clean work environment
• Keep an eye on inventory levels and restock shelves as needed
• Stand for extended periods of time and lift product weighing 50 pounds on occasion
• Prepare and handle select food products
• Provide direction and guidance to seasonal associates
• Correct customer service issues that arise
• Open and close the store with limited oversight
• Assist Store Manager with other tasks as needed

Requirements:

• At least 21 years of age
• Able to pass a background check per Kansas liquor laws
• Available to work Saturday and Sunday
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Strong orientation towards providing excellent customer service
• Basic math skills
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance
• Ability to complete detail-oriented tasks with a high level of accuracy
• Strong leadership skills in a working environment
