We're looking for a Dental Assistant who is driven, patient-centric, and a brand ambassador for our dental practice located in Avon, CT. The ideal candidate will have experience in the field of dentistry and a commitment to grow and innovate to best serve our patients. You'll be responsible for preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials, as well as compliantly delivering procedures and protocols.

Business Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday: 7AM - 5PM
  • Friday: 8AM - 5PM
  • Saturday: 8AM - 1PM

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing a safe, comforting, and welcoming exam room atmosphere
  • Sterilize and deliver instruments to treatment area, position and pass instruments and materials, suction, and expose/develop radiographic studies
  • Pour, trim, and polish study casts and removable appliances
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and calling for repairs
  • Capture and interpret x-rays
  • Track inventory levels, anticipate needed supplies, and verify receipt of supplies
  • Document dental care services by charting in patient records
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Diploma or certificate from an approved Dental Assistant program as accredited by CODA
  • Current CT DA license, or DANB CDA in CT, ICE & RHS Certifications
  • CPR Certification
  • Minimum 2 years of dental office experience (required)
  • Eaglesoft or Dentrix dental software knowledge (a plus)
