Position: Respiratory Therapist NICU

Location: Temple, TX

Schedule:

  • Night Shifts: 7 PM - 7 AM
  • Total Weekly Hours: 36
  • Shifts per Week: 3

Salary:

  • Minimum: $36 per hour
  • Maximum: $45.11 per hour
  • Sign-On Bonus: $20,000


Job Summary:


Join our dedicated NICU team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and contribute to the critical care of neonatal patients. This role requires precise attention to detail and a high level of competence in respiratory care practices.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform and oversee the administration of comprehensive respiratory care services including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, ventilation management, and emergency resuscitation.
  • Ensure all respiratory care provided aligns with established protocols and standards of excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement activities to optimize patient care and department service.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in professional societies.


Qualifications:


  • Associates degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent experience.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
  • Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Texas.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • Preferably less than 1 year of experience in a NICU setting, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
