The Position:
The Laser Service Technician will demonstrate our SEI Laser product line to potential customers in-house at our facility in West Hartford and also provide technical assistance on equipment at existing customer sites. Responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate our various SEI laser cutting machinery for potential customers and high-level visitors
- Provide training and instruction on the operation and maintenance of the equipment to customers upon installation of new equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair machine issues as needed
- Maintain documentation of all demonstrations and trainings
- Look for opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and create enthusiasm and pride in Matik and its systems and equipment to maximize sales potential
About You:
- Passionate about working with cutting edge technology
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- At least 3 years of troubleshooting mechanical/electrical technology via PLC
- Able to read mechanical, pneumatic and electric drawings
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and have good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of equipment
