Zarephath is seeking a highly motivated Respite Support Staff to join our team. The Respite Support Staff will provide support and care to children and families experiencing stress and fatigue due to the demands of caring for a child with behavioral disabilities. 

The Respite Support Staff will work with children to meet their unique needs, providing temporary relief and support to caregivers while ensuring the safety and well-being of the child.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality, individualized respite care to children with a behavioral health diagnosis following the respite care plan developed with the family.
  • Fostering positive relationships with children and their families builds trust and rapport between the child and the caregiver.
  • Always Ensuring the safety and well-being of the child, including monitoring, and addressing any health or safety concerns.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of respite care activities and communicating regularly with the family and other care team members.
  • Attending all required training and meetings and participating in ongoing professional development to stay updated with best practices in respite care.

Day Shift
· Friday 3pm to 10pm
· Saturday 8am to 10pm, or (8am-6pm for Day program)
· Sunday 8am to 4pm

Overnight Shift
· Friday 10pm to Saturday 8am
· Saturday 10pm to Sunday 8am

Qualifications

We seek someone who shares our commitment to providing exceptional client care and has the following qualifications:

  • High school Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience working with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Clean driving record and 5 years of driving experience.
  • Ability to obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Pay Rate: $17 per hour
