Position: Instrument Technician

We are looking for an Instrument Technician with the ability to ensure quality control while striving to optimize production processes. The perfect candidate has experience in a consumer good manufacturing environment and is knowledgeable in the maintenance and improvement of equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain instrumentation equipment such as sensors, transmitters, analyzers, and control systems.
  • Act as lead installer with hands on installation of new equipment including electrical and pneumatic feeder lines
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure instrumentation requirements are met for new product launches and process improvements.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and implement effective solutions to minimize production disruptions.
  • Conduct performance tests and analyze data to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with regulatory standards.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree or equivalent technical training in instrumentation technology, electronics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working as an Instrumentation Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the consumer goods industry.
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation principles, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic control systems.
  • Familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems is preferred.
