The following job description is for BLG Team Members. The operation consists of various areas. Each operating area has similar essential duties and responsibilities which are outlined in the next paragraph. Team Members will not necessarily have all of the duties and responsibilities on their first day; however, it is BLG Logistics, Inc.’s goal to cross train Team Member in as many areas of the Operation as possible.

- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Following general company policies as outlined in the employee handbook.
- Operate within work instructions.
- Order picking, repacking, packing, sequencing, labeling shipping and receiving.
- Perform preventive maintenance (TPM) on shipping totes, racks etc.
- Communicate with operators from other shifts.
- Cleans operating facility for the purpose of maintaining a safe and sanitary work area. (5S)
- Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
- Move waste from work areas to dumpsters.
- Drives vehicles (e.g., truck, van, forklift, etc.) for the purpose of transporting orders and materials to designated areas. The Team Member transports a variety of items (e.g., records/files, supplies, equipment, materials, testing materials, etc.) for the purpose of receiving and/or delivering materials as required.
- Responsible for quality control. No damaged product is sent out. No damaged material is accepted in.
- Package finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
- Stage finished product for loading.
- Loads and unloads delivery trucks for the purpose of receiving stock and/or filling orders for transport. Move materials to warehouse storage.
- Participates physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses.
- Team Member responds to Inventory Specialist (and or management) for the purpose of providing information and/or direction regarding the status of deliveries, etc.
- Maintains documents, files and records (e.g., tracking online shipping, equipment transfer forms, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, and providing materials and reliable resource information.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
- Manufacturer floors based on customer demand and forecast.
- Must be punctual and have reliable transportation.
- Mandatory Overtime with or without advance notification

- Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills and Knowledge
Skills are required to perform multiple, non-technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: adhering to safety practices; operating equipment used in warehouse operations; operating standard office equipment including pertinent software applications; and preparing and maintaining accurate records. Knowledge is required to perform basic math; understand written procedures, write routine documents, and speak clearly; and understand complex, multi-step written and oral instructions. Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes: basic computer use, basic vehicle maintenance, and safety practices and procedures.
