Warehouse Laborer

Performs various skilled and semi-skilled tasks in managing the warehouse cleanliness and organization with little or no supervision. Receives assignments orally or through written instructions which may be accompanied by sketches or diagrams.

Essential Duties:

1. operates forklift, pallet jack sagely, also uses ladders in a safe and responsible manner

2. uses floor sweeper, mops and other cleaning supplies to clean warehouse and machine shop floor

3. cleans all racks, safety protectors, and other items in the facility

4. maintains floor sweeper (replacing and cleaning filters, flushing, battery charging, etc)

5. keep Management informed of developments impacting the manufacturing process

6. keep the work area in a neat and orderly condition

7. perform other duties as directed by management

8. work with other departments within the organization to achieve high efficiency of the company

9. other administrative tasks as assigned or requested by the department manager/supervisor

Skills:

1. knowledgeable of occupational hazards and safety precautions in a the department

2. must be skilled in the care of and use of tools and equipment used in the trades involved

3. ability to interpret and work from pencil sketches and diagrams

4. must be able to work with little or no supervision

5. must be able to read, write, and speak English

6. must have valid certification to operate forklift and overhead crane
