Compensation:

$30 - $35 hourly

Responsibilities:

1. Specialized Maintenance and Repairs: Perform specialized maintenance tasks tailored to high-performance Ford Mustang models, including thorough inspections of engines, drivetrain components, and suspension systems.


2. Performance Enhancement Installation: Install and calibrate high-performance upgrades designed specifically for Ford Mustang models, such as cold air intakes, performance exhaust systems, supercharger kits, turbos and suspension enhancements.


3. Track Preparation and Support: Prepare Ford Mustangs for track events by adjusting suspension settings, optimizing tire pressures, and ensuring overall vehicle readiness. Provide on-site technical support and assistance during track days or racing competitions.


4. Diagnostic Expertise: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and address issues specific to high-performance Ford Mustangs efficiently. Diagnose engine, transmission, and electrical system problems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.


5. Customer Consultation and Support: Provide expert guidance and recommendations to customers seeking to enhance the performance of their Ford Mustangs. Offer personalized advice on performance upgrades, maintenance intervals, and driving techniques to maximize the ownership experience.


6. Quality Assurance and Testing: Conduct thorough quality inspections on modified Ford Mustangs to ensure all upgrades and modifications meet performance standards and safety regulations. Perform test drives to validate performance enhancements and address any concerns.

Qualifications:

1. Education:

  •  High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  •  Completion of a two-year trade school program focusing on automotive technology, or a related field is mandatory.


2. Specialized Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated expertise in Ford vehicles, with a particular emphasis on Ford Mustangs.
  • Proficient in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining high-performance engines and components.
  • Familiarity with advanced automotive systems, including electrical and computer-controlled systems found in modern vehicles.


3. Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an automotive technician, with a significant portion of that experience dedicated to working on Ford vehicles.
  • Prior experience in a high-performance automotive shop or dealership environment is preferred.


4. Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose complex automotive issues efficiently.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical and electrical problems accurately.
  • Ability to perform repairs and modifications to enhance vehicle performance while maintaining safety standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues professionally.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.


5. Certifications:

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ford certifications are advantageous, especially in areas relevant to Ford vehicles and high-performance engines.


6. Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with automotive repair work.
  • Stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.
