The Goddard School located in Suwanee is looking for a motivated, self-starter for a Lead Private Kindergarten position. The ideal candidate must have at least one year of teaching experience (Pre-k lead or Kindergarten preferred), strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and strong organizational skills.
The Goddard School's unique and flexible learning approach to child development is about more than just reaching milestones. Its about turning everyday encounters into teachable moments, allowing childrens interests to influence their learning experiences through a balance of academic, mental, physical, and social-emotional growth. Position hours are 7:30-3:30, M-F.
Private Kindergarten responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
- Implementation of curriculum and weekly lesson planning
- Developing strong relationships with our families and faculty
- Assess students' progress through various methods including assessments and observation
- Complying with not only state childcare licensing regulations but also Goddard rules and regulations
- Projecting a positive, flexible, and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrating highly effective organizational, time management, multitasking, and prioritizing skills
- Having a genuine love for children and a strong commitment to education
- Proficient in classroom management techniques to maintain a structured learning environment

Qualifications:
- Minimum of a CDA or an Associates of Arts or Science Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field. Bachelors degree is preferred.
- Minimum of one year of classroom experience-PreK or Kindergarten preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with children, staff and parents, including when having difficult or uncomfortable conversations
- Able to work Monday to Friday
- Organized and able to multitask, strategically resolves challenges, and has a great attitude
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement
- Strong understanding, or willingness to learn about different cultures, diverse families and abilities. Candidate should be able to incorporate this knowledge into curriculum guidance.
