Job Description:

As an Auto Maintenance Technician with A National Transit, you will play a critical role in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles within our esteemed Paratransit fleet. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing routine and preventative maintenance adhering to manufacturing and company protocols.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing major components such as engines, transmissions, and differentials.
  • Conducting fleet inspections and promptly reporting hazardous equipment to management.
  • Responding to road calls and completing on-the-road repairs as assigned.
  • Documenting all repair and maintenance actions comprehensively on work orders.
  • Collaborating with management to procure necessary parts and supplies for vehicle maintenance.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to safety policies and procedures within the workshop.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, productive, and efficient work environment.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Participation in Ford Stars Training program.
  • Preference for ASE, HVAC, or Electrical certifications.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of general mechanic experience required.
  • Preferred minimum of two (2) years of experience in the transportation industry.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstration of a positive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Possession and maintenance of a valid Georgia driver’s license.
  • Successful completion of a DOT physical and drug test.
  • Clearance of a comprehensive background check.

 

Other Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 21.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • High School diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
  • Three years of continuous and verifiable post-high school employment or equivalent student status.
  • Strong DMV record: Licensed for at least 3 years, active GA driver's license, with no more than 2 moving violations in the last three years.
