Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:Position Summary
Training with Shop Foreman and experienced Jar Techs to learn proper tool maintenance & proper documentation procedures. Will work in all areas of the shop as needed while training, including : wash bay, assembly/disassembly, fill unit, test area, and paint area. Working towards becoming a Jar Tech II.
Position Duties
- Responsible for learning the following tasks (performed under supervision):
- Testing dirty jars upon arrival from the field
- Drain oil from jars, dissemble, remove seals, and tag parts
- Steam clean and soak tool in acid
- Recognize faulty parts
- Assemble jars
- Load & unload trucks
- Fill Tool with oil
- Test assembled jars
- Paint, stencil, and drift
- Put jars in stock
- Operate overhead crane & forklift
- Primary training is on Megaton product line
- Maintain neat housekeeping
- Work assignments completed timely & to appropriate standards
- Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job
- Return all hand tools to their proper location daily
- Must adhere to all HSE standards and KES company policies
- Other duties as assigned
Work Environment
Typically works in a moderately noisy environment
Routine exposure to the elements, including working outdoors and in a non-climate controlled building

Competencies Required for Effective Performance
- One (1) year experience
- Individual must be able to follow instructions
- Should be able to work closely with fellow employees
- Mechanical aptitude helpful
- Must be available for 24 hour on call status

- Comfortable working in a fast pace environment

High School Diploma or GED
