Job Purpose:

This position is primarily responsible for executing and supporting all function of the receiving department, including administrative and physical job responsibilities as required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely operates warehouse equipment and machinery, including forklift, reach truck, order picker and pallet jacks.
  • Receives, unpacks, relocates and stocks inbound materials and components, ensuring the quality and accuracy of all materials.
  • Assists with inbound paperwork as necessary.
  • Assists with accurately entering product information into the ERP system (NAV).
  • Regularly counts inventory during receiving process and ensures product received matches product paperwork.
  • Assist with physical unloading of live containers in specific time periods.
  • Inspect shipments for visible spot damages/defects from supplier.
  • Use proper safety equipment and follow safety rules and procedures.
  • Maintain Receiving dock in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Use and read a tape measure daily.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to work safely at all times.
  • Possession of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education highly preferred.
  • 2+ years of previous warehouse/distribution experience is highly desired. Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 75 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 120 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment without compromising quality or accuracy.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organization skills required.
  • Must be able to use a tape measure and perform basic math. Experience with hand tools is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and problem-solve independently while remaining part of the larger team.
  • Ability to take on new tasks and rotate through a variety of positions and/or locations as needed.
  • Exceptional communication and listening skills.
  • Displays courtesy and respect for team members at all times.
