The ideal candidate will be bright and ambitious, with excellent and professional interpersonal skills. Candidates should possess a strong grasp of math concepts. Will work in a fun and friendly team environment, and be trained on: curriculum knowledge to provide effective and concise math instruction to students of all ages, using the Mathnasium Method. Math Instructors will contribute to an engaging and productive learning environment while participating in positive interactions with students and parents to establish a high level of confidence and program value. The Math Instructor is also responsible for assisting in evaluating and tracking student progress, and maintaining effective communication with the Center Director and fellow team members.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Teach/tutor in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices
  • Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
  • Assess students learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
  • Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
  • Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment

Required Qualifications:


  • Basic knowledge of arithmetic & algebra concepts
  • Excellent work ethic
  • A willingness to learn
  • Passion for math and working with students
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Eagerness to learn and be trained
  • Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
  • Ability to balance various ongoing tasks
Preferred Skills & Qualifications


  • Experience working with children as a Teacher, Tutor, or Mathematics Instructor
  • Pursuing a degree in math/science, education, or related field
  • The ability to teach Algebra 2 or higher levels is a plus
  • Excellent child management skills and ability to tutor in a small group setting
  • Ability to create a sense of comfort in parents and children
  • Ability to communicate clearly with staff, parents, and students
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
Center Operations


Mathnasium is open 3:00 pm - 7 pm Monday --Friday. The instructor must be available to work a minimum of 2 weekdays, preferably 3-4 weekdays, Monday-Thursday with a starting time between 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm. Shifts end between 5:30pm - 7:30pm.

This is a part-time position and Instructors will work anywhere from 10 - 24 hours per week. Hours may vary but generally are from 3:00 pm - 7 pm Monday --Friday.
