Overview: We are seeking dedicated and skilled Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT-Basics) to join our 911 contract staffing team in Virginia. As an essential part of our emergency response network, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality pre-hospital care to individuals in need. This position offers an opportunity to make a direct impact on community health and safety while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to emergency calls as part of a 911 staffing team.
  • Assess patients' conditions quickly and accurately, prioritizing care based on severity.
  • Administer basic life support (BLS) interventions as per established protocols.
  • Safely transport patients to medical facilities ensuring continuity of care.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, their families, and healthcare providers.
  • Document patient assessment, treatment provided, and response to interventions accurately and timely.
  • Maintain and clean equipment and ambulances in accordance with established standards.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations governing emergency medical services.

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-Basic) in Virginia.
  • Valid CPR (BLS) certification.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations and make critical decisions.
  • Physical ability to lift and maneuver patients and equipment safely.
  • Clean driving record and ability to operate an ambulance safely.
  • EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operations Course) Class II

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a 911 emergency response setting.
  • Knowledge of local geography and roadways.
