Tool Room Assistant Job Overview:

Under the supervision of the Tool Crib Manager the Tool Crib Assistant is responsible for tool crib inventory, job preparation and providing set up support.


You’ll be a great fit if:

  • You can assist in setup of machine tooling according to production schedule and process plans
  • You can assist in teardown of machine tooling according to production schedule and process plans
  • You can help manage tool room by inventorying, storing, receiving, and distributing tools
  • You can frequently inspect tools and equipment for wear, defect, or damage to ensure tools are in a safe and working condition
  • You are able to help the Tool Crib Manager maintain records of tools issued and returned
  • You are able to keep tool storage area sufficiently stocked, well organized and efficient
  • You can provide support to the Tool Crib Manager
  • You are able to perform other duties as needed

Requirements:

To be considered you’ll need:

  • High School diploma or CNC technical background preferred
  • CNC Machining background preferred but not required
  • Solid Math skills
  • Basic machining, tooling and blueprint reading knowledge
