Our client, a leading SBA Certified 8(a), HUBZone Certified, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business General Contractor, in Hampton Roads, VA is seeking several experienced professional Superintendents to oversee Federal projects in the Hampton Roads area. They specialize in delivering exceptional turn-key project management services for both Commercial and Government contracts.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Quality Control staff and specialty subcontractor inspection entities to ensure compliance with owner, architect, and government specifications, codes, regulations, and requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison with the Owner (private or federal) for all quality control-related matters.
  • Manage the maintenance of all quality control records and ensure required reporting is maintained.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate all required audits/inspections to ensure contractual quality standards are met.
  • Define corrective measures for problem areas and report results to Project Managers in a timely manner.
  • Assist in implementing and enforcing safety programs and practices to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Continuously expand and update professional knowledge to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by supervisors or through personal initiative.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a QC Representative/Superintendent on Federal Installations, NAVFAC experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 and experience in hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability.
  • Willingness to pass a background check for work on Federal Installations.
  • Training/Education related to process system Quality Control.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and necessary certifications for working on a government base.
  • Superior knowledge of quality control program components, building codes, and technical standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Complete understanding of safety practices and standards within EM385.
  • Excellent planning, coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat DC preferred.
