Job Summary
Administers the various administrative functions related to our safety program. This includes data and processes involving accidents, inspections, awards and other risk-related data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains internal reporting regarding records status and hours of service compliance.
- Maintains a systematic process for the collection, organization, and accuracy of a complete hours of service record for each driver.
- Engages operations to ensure timely, consistent, disciplined response to complete and accurate reporting, tracking, and submission of all required hours of service records, including supporting documentation.
- Provides technical support, guidance to Operations and drivers in connection with completion/updating of electronic log records.
- Supports activities associated with auditing submitted time records to validate accuracy of electronic, paper, and supporting hours of service documentation.
- Provides backup support for other Safety department processes relating to DOT compliance, safety, hiring of, and safety incentives for drivers; technical support; administrative support with corrective action and accident reporting.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- High school education.
- Proficient in Word and Excel, Access preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- At least one year experience in similar administrative type position
- Trucking/safety background preferred
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management
