Mid-level Patent Litigation Associate in Intellectual Property & Technology in Silicon Valley, CA

Job requires five days a week on-site in Silicon Valley, CA

Compensation and Benefits:

  • A competitive salary ranging from $235,000 to $365,000, commensurate with experience.

Key Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of prior work experience in patent litigation, ideally managing Hatch-Waxman or biotherapeutics cases in District Court or before the PTAB, with experience in litigating and managing therapeutics cases (biologic or chemical).
  • Strong research, writing, and analytic skills.
  • The ability to manage and mentor more junior associates.
  • Strong management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and creatively, as well as part of a team.
  • A technical life science undergraduate and/or graduate degree is preferred.
  • Must be currently licensed, or eligible to become licensed, to practice law in the jurisdiction(s) of application.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in patent litigation and management cases, with a focus on life sciences and technology industries.
  • Utilize strong drafting and analytical skills to contribute to the enforcement and defense of patent rights.
  • Lead and mentor junior associates, managing cases and ensuring the success of the team.
  • Contribute to a culture of learning, mentorship, and professional growth within a supportive and inclusive environment.
