The Compass School Age Childcare program offers a comprehensive and enriching experience for students in grades PreK-5. Our daily activities include academic enrichment, structured activities, self-directed learning, indoor and outdoor play, arts and crafts, games, social time, sports and recreation, and more. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing daily lesson plans and supervising students.
  • Participate actively in all student activities, including setup and cleanup.
  • Attend all required staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and a growth mindset at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Patience, empathy, compassion, and strong communication skills.
  • Creativity, responsibility, reliability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and energy, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.

  • No prior child care experience is required, but must have an interest in working with children

Pay: 

  • Starting at $14.00/hr + $3.00/hr quarterly stipend (some conditions may apply) - Age 16 - 18
  • Starting at $15.00/hr + $3.00/hr quarterly stipend (some conditions may apply) - Over 18 with HS Diploma/GED

Hours:

  • Flexible shifts available:
    • Full-time split shift, PT AM, PT PM
    • Flexible days and flexible hours 
  • Immediate need for coverage from 2:00-3:30 pm
  • Ability to stack hours with other district positions to qualify for benefits at 32+ hours/week

Locations: 

  • Carlos Elementary School: 2:15-5:30 pm
  • Garfield Elementary School: 2:15-5:30 pm
  • Miltona Elementary School: 6:30-8:00 am and/or 2:45-5:30 pm
  • Lincoln Elementary School: 6:30-7:30 am and/or 2:30-5:30 pm
  • Voyager Elementary School: 6:30-7:15 am and/or 2:00-5:30 pm
  • Woodland Elementary School: 6:30-7:15 am and/or 2:00-5:30 pm
  • Early Education Center: 6:30-8:00 am and/or 2:15-5:30 pm
