Job Summary:Manages and directs all Production Control activities for the Company. Responsible for importing customer orders via EDI system and/or e-mail and checking orders and forecasts for any changes/updates and relaying to production floor as required. Scheduling all outbound shipments to meet customer required date and sending ASN’s when shipped via EDI system or email.
 Essential Functions:
 
  • Managed the day-to-day production control planning, scheduling, flow of materials, and monitoring to achieve goals and objectives for delivery dates, output quality, volume, cost, and optimization.
  • Requires constant physical activity throughout shift (except breaks and lunch) such as walking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, handling, near/far vision, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting objects weighing 50 lbs.
  • Oversee scheduling and the development of methods to allocate and control resources and material effectively.
  • Establish monitoring tools and processes to identify and plan for problems with waste, inefficiencies, and inventory in production operation.
  • Maintains raw material inventory at proper levels to ensure productivity is maximized.
  • Monitors training and evaluates skill levels and development of department employees.
  • Responsible for processing daily customer orders from EDI system and e-mail and
  • Responsible for sending ASNs (Advanced Shipping Notification) to customers as material is shipped and prepare NAFTA documentation for each shipment as required.
  • Performs related activities as may be required.
