The Bookkeeper is responsible for managing and maintaining the financial records of Peak Support. This includes recording transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience with accounting software.


What you’ll do:


  • Record Transactions: Accurately record all financial transactions including invoices, receipts, payments, and expenses into the accounting system.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and summaries as required by management or regulatory authorities.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payment of bills and collection of outstanding invoices.
  • Payroll Processing: Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant payroll laws and regulations.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax documents, including sales tax and VAT returns, and assist with year-end tax preparation.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation for audits and financial reviews.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting by providing accurate financial data and analysis.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Communication: Coordinate with other departments and external vendors to ensure smooth financial operations and resolve any issues.


We’re looking for individuals with:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
