Rice Companies is looking for a Regional Truck Driver (Part-Time) to join the team at our Sauk Rapids, MN location. The Regional Truck Driver is responsible for transporting materials and equipment to and from construction sites within the designated regional/local area (MN, ND, SD, IA, NE, WI).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport materials and equipment to and from construction sites within the designated regional/local area.
  • Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods and materials using company-provided vehicles, such as flatbed trucks.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, construction site managers, and other team members to coordinate schedules and deliveries.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials when necessary.
  • Assist with general labor tasks on construction sites during downtime.
  • Support other departments as needed, including warehouse and logistics.


Qualifications

Include, but are not limited to:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven experience as a truck driver in a regional/local capacity, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Clean driving record and valid CDL Class A license with appropriate endorsements (Air Brakes).
  • Knowledge of Federal and State DOT regulations and safety standards for transporting goods.
  • Ability to operate construction vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently. (i.e. Aerial Lifts and Telehandlers) Certifications are preferred but training can be provided.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities to handle unexpected situations on the road or at construction sites.
  • Competent computer and mobile device skills.
