Shipping and Receiving Technician

In summary, as the Shipping and Receiving Technician, you will:
- Load and unload all delivery vehicles safely and in a timely manner, including notifying A9 associates when their order arrives.
- Compare packing slips with actual material received, perform Goods Receipts, and address any discrepancies in Goods receipts and invoices with purchasing and other A9 departments.
- Manage raw material and tooling inventory including ordering raw material after submitting RFQ.
- Access and use various computer systems associated with order placement and shipping, included but not limited to Oracle and ECI JobBOSS 2
- Package, label and ship finished goods to customers and in-process goods to vendors from A9 ensuring adherence to DOT regulations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and trainer for the A9 shipping and receiving processes.
- Identify, investigate and correct discrepancies in shipping, ordering and stocking.
Other General Responsibilities
- Follow instructions and performs other duties as may assigned by their supervisor.
- Assist other employees in accomplishment of company goals.
- Participate in and complete company-required training programs.
- Participate in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for A9 Manufacturing, Inc. in the United States
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in shipping, receiving and/or warehouse/inventory management.
Specific Skills and Knowledge
- Must have a high level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs.
- Must have proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with other A9 personnel regarding to sample/material shipping and warehouse-stocked items availability.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to operate a fork-lift
- Experience with warehouse management software preferred.
- Previous experience with an ERP order placement, goods receipt and inventory management highly preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- DOT certifications highly preferred.
- Forklift Certification.
Competencies
- Communicating tactfully and effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Maintaining effective work relations with other A9 personnel.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
