We are currently seeking a well-rounded Warehouse Associate
- Shift will be 10:00 AM-7:00 PM
- Must be flexible- availability is needed from time to time for OT (not a lot of OT but there can be during peak season)
- Must be a self-starter / go-getter and be eager to work
Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and fulfill orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
- Maintain quality service by following organization standards
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling operations and sorting
- Move product and inventory using a forklift and bin system
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
- Measure, weigh, and count products and materials
- Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products in order to ensure that packing specifications are met
- Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records
- Help control quality by removing incomplete or defective products or materials from package
- Place items on / collect items from moving equipment such as conveyors or in specified areas such as loading docks
- Seal containers or materials, using glues, fasteners, nails, and hand tools
- Load materials and products into package processing equipment
- Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers, using hand tools
- Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools
- Place or pour products or materials into containers, using hand tools and equipment
- High volume bulk picking from mezzanine and rack location
Physical Demands:
- Stand for long periods of time
- Repetitive motions
- Must be able to frequently lift up to 75 pounds
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers
Requirements:
- Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions
- Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization
- Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Perform basic visual quality inspections on products
- Work at a fast pace and demonstrate urgency towards the completion of projects
- Utilize power tools and various equipment as needed to perform duties
- Must be certified or become certified in operation of forklift, previous experience is a plus
- Experience with UPS WorldShip software package a plus
- Proficiency with FedEx shipping software a plus
- Experience with Export shipping a plus
- Proficiency with computers required
- Experience handling RF guns required
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Must be able to functionally interface with personnel at all levels, multitask and work independently and react to changing priorities and conditions in order to meet job objectives
