PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

CNC Operator Machinist Job Duties:

  • operate CNC machinery in plant including state of the art plasma table, steel rolls, new Haas lathe, CNC welder, tube / pipe benders
  • Programs benders, plasma tables and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
  • Sets-up machines by installing and adjusting jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices;.
  • Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
  • Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

CNC Operator Machinist Skills and Qualifications:

Conceptual Skills, Process Improvement, Verbal Communication, Functional and Technical Skills, Controls and Instrumentation, Supply Management, Tooling, Coordination, Inventory Control, Attention to Detail. MUST BE CONFIDENT WITH MODERN SOFTWARE

  • Communicate with engineering department to ensure proper files (DXF) are correct for manufacture
  • Program all CNC machinery to provided specifications
  • Operate CNC equipment to manufacture precision components
  • Maintain CNC equipment to the highest standards

Salary: $18.00 - $36.00 per hour
