We're seeking a caring, resourceful and dedicated professional who genuinely enjoys working with children. This individual will work with young children (6weeks - 6 years), providing assistance as needed and attending to their development needs. It takes a special type of candidate to work with young children and we need an individual who is enthusiastic about the opportunity to help students learn through fun, hands-on activities that stimulate the imagination.

Must have at least one year experience work in a certified center/comparable program, OR documentation of a step 8 in ORO, OR a degree in ECE

Responsibilities:

• Feeding, changing diapers
• Teach young children about numbers, the alphabet, words, shapes, colors, and other basic subjects.
• Serve as a leader in the classroom by working with parents and teachers to develop activities for young children to do.
• Record and report the progress of each child in the classroom.
• Create lesson plans that incorporate what children have learned into new lessons.
• Ensure that children know how to use a potty or toilet.
• Giving other staff members breaks, filling in for absent teachers, cleaning, etc

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

• Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Salem, OR 97306: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Required)
• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
• CBR - Background check (Required)
