Summary of work:

The Job Coach of LSSI Works is responsible for helping program graduates stay on their job for at least one year of employment. The job coach meets 1:1 with graduates each month as soon as they start working and provides coaching and support to help address obstacles they encounter, both on the job and at home.

The Job Coach also works directly with employers, maintaining health relationships to ensure that employers maintain a safe and healthy working environment for graduates.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Participant Employment Coaching –

  • Establish authentic, supportive relationships with participants.
  • Meet 1:1 with participants every month for their first year of employment.
  • Connect participants with internal and external resources when barriers arise in their professional and personal lives.
  • Prioritize workload to ensure participants receive coaching when emergencies arise.

Employment Partner Engagement –


  • Maintain relationships with employment partners.

Administrative Responsibilities -


  • Track participant progress in CRM database.
  • Assist with intake and onboarding of new students.
  • Assist with maintaining relationships with referral sources.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Ability to develop and maintain highly effective relationships, externally and internally.
  • High energy and passionate about coaching the adult learner.
  • Experienced and comfortable communicating 1:1 and with small groups.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven track record of coaching and relationship management.
  • Knowledge of direct service organizations for the systemically affected, preferred.
  • Understanding of clients with differing cultural, racial, socioeconomic, or ethnic identities.
  • Ability to maintain ethical business practices while “living” LSSI core values.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of professional experience in working with individuals to provide coaching and/or case management services.
  • Ability to coach adult learners and provide constructive feedback when necessary.
  • Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) databases, preferred.
  • Demonstrated work history of resourcefulness and problem solving.
  • High energy and ability to engage others toward a common goal.
  • Valid driver's license, in force auto insurance and vehicle for full time business use required.
