At WHA, our patients are our people. Together, we're a team of dedicated OB/GYN physicians, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, certified nurse-midwives, nurse practitioners and counselors honoring who it is that walks through our doors every day, as they define and know themselves to be. We take care of 50,000+ beautifully unique people each year spanning 16 clinic locations and seven hospitals across the Portland area.
As a GYN-focused physician here, you'll have the autonomy of a flexible work/life balance, the opportunity to become a member-owner and the full support of the largest obstetrics and gynecology organization in Oregon. You'll also have the time and focus to go deeper with each patient and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in their quality of life. That may be by helping to improve a chronic problem, reducing the impact of transitional symptoms or helping someone reach their health goals--all while enjoying the type of call responsibility that's only possible when you take babies out of the equation. Our GYN-only physicians tend to bring--or cultivate--special expertise that allows them to serve as a referral resource both internally and externally. For some, that may be a vulvar health specialty or menopause practitioner certification; for others, advanced skill or training in minimally invasive surgery or gender-affirming hormone therapy.
It's a special person we're looking for. You're kind, invested, adaptable, open-minded, and--maybe most importantly--excited to share your knowledge, skill and compassion with patients and team members alike. You thrive on continuous learning and solving problems for people and excel in teaching and communication. You have--or are interested in developing--a wide breadth of GYN knowledge and skill.
