WHAT WE NEED:

Document Controller (On-Site)

Sigma Engineers and Constructors is currently looking for a Document Controller for one of our client sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality control of all internal discipline packages.
  • Daily contact with client document controllers for documents needed on specific projects.
  • Responsible for all drawing requests and returns that are being submitted by our drafters, designers, and engineers. This includes inputting those requests and returns into our document database.
  • Research files and records on client's databases for projects.
  • Follow procedures and specifications governing the document control process, including document control procedure, document numbering specification, correspondence procedure, archiving specification, and other documentation defining the Document Control framework on any given project.
  • Comply with the Company Records Management for controlled and uncontrolled documents.
  • Execute project archiving and handover to next project phase / operations.
  • Manage all electronic correspondence documents for each project from / to clients.
  • Cross-discipline engineering checks (requirements and use) and discipline approval processes within internal procedures.

WHO WE NEED:

  • Minimum 1 year of Document Control experience in the engineering industry preferred.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Requires self-motivation and ability to complete projects with strict deadlines.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Requires the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam, Excel, SharePoint, MS Outlook, Adobe, MS Teams.
